People Strategy = Business Strategy: Shaping Culture & Fueling Growth

At Qliro, culture is not a buzzword – it’s a competitive advantage. In this post, Chief Operating Officer, Emma Lunde, shares her perspective on how culture shapes the way we work, lead, and grow.
  1. What we at Qliro stand for:

In Qliro - where speed, scale, and complexity collide – culture isn’t a “nice-to-have,” it’s a strategic edge. Culture isn’t HR’s job. It’s everyone’s job!

Our Executive Management Team have Culture as an important part of the agenda and we have created forum for constantly develop our teams, culture and way of working, based on data.

At Qliro, Culture is shaped in moments, not memos. We are of the firm believing of being data-informed & people-centered. If it doesn’t scale with humanity, it won’t scale at all. If we want to lead, not follow, we must get bolder, every day!

We want to stand out boldly, you have to move beyond posters and values decks into visible, radical behaviors that define how things really work!

  1. What is Culture for us at Qliro?

Culture isn’t a poster on the wall or a set of words in a handbook. It’s how we show up, make decisions, challenge ideas, lead others, and move through change – every single day.

In our world – fast-moving, complex, and deeply digital – we can’t solve tomorrow’s challenges with yesterday’s structures.

That means culture is not a soft topic. Neither is leadership. Nor inclusion. They are strategic levers. (The organizations that understand that will out-learn, out-build, and outlast the rest.)

  1. We Build Culture Like We Build Products

Just like our technology, our culture is constantly iterated.

We ask: What do we want to stand for? How do we work best together? What do we refuse to compromise on, even under pressure?

Because in fintech, the war for talent is real. To attract and keep the best, we’re building a magnetic employer brand, not through hype, but through how it actually feels to work here.

  1. Leadership at Every Level

We believe leadership doesn’t live in job titles – it lives in behaviors in all our Qliroers! When we empower leadership at all levels, we scale faster, think smarter, and deliver better. At every level of our organization, true leadership is defined by:

  • Curiosity – Asking bold questions, challenging the status quo, and seeking to understand before acting.
  • Collaboration – Building together, breaking silos, and recognizing that the best outcomes are co-created.
  • Accountability – Owning outcomes, not just tasks, and holding ourselves, and each other, to a high standard.
  • Empowerment – Trusting people with autonomy and supporting them with clarity, tools, and space to lead.

When these elements are alive across the business, we don’t just execute - we evolve.
This is how we scale trust, speed, and innovation - by growing leadership everywhere.

Because empowered people, create empowered teams, and that’s what drives resilience, innovation, and momentum!

When we lead with our culture, we don’t just react to shifts in the market - we anticipate them, shape them, and bring others with us.

“This is culture for us, not as a feel-good initiative - but as a strategic engine for performance, growth, and belonging.”
