Qliro in the Norwegian market – a conversation with Jens Rygg

Since entering the Norwegian market in the fall of 2024, Qliro’s presence has grown rapidly – expanding both the local team and the customer portfolio. To put that growth into context, we sat down with Jens Rygg, Country Manager in Norway, to talk about the journey so far, the importance of local presence, and how WOW experiences are created in practice.

Looking back on Qliro’s first phase in Norway, Jens describes the journey as intense, fast-paced, and above all, driven by the team.

“It's been a really fun and intense ride. By quickly understanding Qliro's essence, the team was able to engage with merchants early on. The message was clear – we're a challenger to the traditional providers, offering an updated solution with unique product features, at a more competitive cost. Supported by a great onboarding team and a merchant support that delivers beyond expectations, we managed to get many merchants live in record time."

“We’ve spent a lot of time refining our tone of voice, timing and channels across email, SMS and app notifications. Our communication makes sense, and together with adding AvtaleGiro – allowing customers to pay their invoices with one click – it’s a key reason why we’re seeing happier customers and big reductions in reminder rates." 

As a result, we’ve significantly reduced the number of reminders. Less noise creates more trust, and trust is a key ingredient in any WOW experience.
